University of Washington
Selects
Led season creative for volleyball, gymnastics, track & field, cross country, and rowing. Assisted in the development and implementation of a massive identity rebrand and overall transition as UW entered the BIG 10 Conference. Below are some selects from each sport.
2024-25 Gymnastics
For Washington Gymnastics, I developed a brand identity centered around the team’s chosen theme: “Bloom,” inspired by Seattle’s rainy days that bring forth the city’s iconic cherry blossoms and lush greenery.
The graphics featured here are part of the postseason look for NCAA Regionals and Championships. Hosting the first three rounds of NCAA Regionals in Seattle, I wanted the postseason graphics package to reflect the look and feel of UW that weekend: blue skies and florals in full bloom.
2024-25 Track & Field
The look created for Indoor Nationals embodied the team’s “go for gold” mentality. With shiny overlays and gold foil textures, the design is bold, unapologetic, and unmistakably Washington.
Designing for track & field comes with its own set of challenges. The sport is fast-moving and unpredictable, which means the graphics need to be just as agile. Templates for All-America honors, personal bests, final scores, rankings, and event winners are built for quick updates and adaptability across different platforms.
2024-25 Rowing
For Washington Rowing, I leaned into a classic, historical aesthetic that reflects the program’s legacy while also capturing the intensity and grit of rowing.
Men’s and women’s rowing at Washington share social media accounts, so it was important to create a look that captured the essence of rowing as a whole while respecting each team’s distinct culture.
2024-25 Volleyball
For Washington Volleyball’s inaugural season in the Big Ten, the team called for a look that would embody its gritty, scrappy, and bold nature. Building on Washington Athletics’ Big Ten rebrand, I leaned into a scrapbook look that utilizes paper textures, printed photos, tape, paper clips, marker scribbles, and handwriting.
