The look created for Indoor Nationals—now carrying into the outdoor season—embodies the team’s "go for gold" mentality. With shiny overlays and gold foil textures, the design is bold, unapologetic, and unmistakably Washington. This shift marks a departure from the dark, gritty textures of the regular indoor season, symbolizing a turning point as the team breaks barriers and achieves its most successful season in history.
Designing for track & field comes with its own set of challenges—the sport is fast-moving and unpredictable, which means the graphics need to be just as agile. Templates for All-America honors, personal bests, final scores, rankings, and event winners are built for quick updates and adaptability across different platforms. Everything is designed to be simple yet striking, ensuring social media managers can make real-time edits as results for different events come in simultaneously.
For this short season, I wanted to challenge myself by using a less common color combination from our brand—black and gold. Most of the season’s design work focused on creating simple, user-friendly templates that allowed our social media team to quickly update and share content in real time.
